Our Values

Both The Capital Fellows program and McLean Presbyterian Church recognize that God is Lord of every aspect of this world and every aspect of our lives. We seek to recognize that Lordship in the way we work, learn, serve, fellowship, and play.

We view the Bible as God's inspired and inerrant Word, and we are committed to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We believe that we are saved solely by God's grace through the death of Jesus Christ. And we believe that the Holy Spirit teaches us to grow in knowledge of God, in comprehension and joy of our salvation, and in living more and more in a way that honors God.

Fellows are not required to become members of McLean Presbyterian and are not required to be in agreement with every particular of our doctrine. We ask that Fellows be Christians who seek to make Jesus Christ the Lord of their entire lives and that they show respect for our evangelical, Reformed tradition, as they will be ministering as part of our church during their time as The Capital Fellows. The application and interviews enable each applicant to discuss their personal faith and provide the opportunity to ask questions about The Capital Fellows program and McLean Presbyterian Church.
